10. Tardigrade

These microscopic creatures, known as “water bears,” look like wrinkly gummy bears and are basically unkillable. They can survive extreme heat, sheer cold, radiation, outer space, dehydration, and probably more. When things get rough, they dry up, turning into a protective husk and go into suspended animation. This stage can last for decades if needed. When conditions improve, they just drink some Kool-Aid and keep living. Frankly, tardigrades might be one of the few creatures on Earth that will outlast us all, including cockroaches and expired Twinkies.
