Was Joe Biden Replaced By A Clone?

Welcome to the political Twilight Zone, where nothing is too outlandish, and even the former leader of the so-called “free world” might be a robot. Indeed, a particularly intriguing theory, which has gained significant traction online and received a boost from Donald Trump himself, suggests that the man we perceive as Joe Biden is actually not Joe Biden at all. He’s a clone. Alternatively, he could be a robot. Or both? Or maybe even a “soulless, mindless entity” engineered in a Democratic deep-state lab. Choose your side!
This bizarre plot twist first surfaced on Trump’s favorite social media platform, Truth Social, where he reposted a wildly unhinged claim that Biden was actually executed in 2020 and replaced by a doppelganger made of wires, circuits, and who-knows-what-else. The original post, courtesy of a user named “llijh,” which already sounds like something a cat would randomly type on a keyboard, confidently stated:
“There is no #JoeBiden — executed in 2020. #Biden clones, doppelgangers, and robotic soulless mindless creatures — that’s what you see. #Democrats don’t see the difference.”
Trump didn’t add his own comment, but the repost was enough.
So, a Robot President, Huh?
Let’s take a moment to unpack this mad claim. The theory suggests that sometime in 2020, Biden was “removed” and replaced by a near-perfect replica. This fake Biden then went on to campaign, debate, win the presidency, give speeches, fall off bikes, forget names, and sign bills.
Oh, and about those signed bills? As you’ve probably heard, Trump’s been skeptical of those, too. Even before the clone theory took off, he was already pushing the idea that Biden didn’t even sign his own documents and that someone was using an autopen to pass policies on his behalf, like a remote-controlled pen of doom.
Then there’s the health angle. Recently, Biden revealed a diagnosis of aggressive prostate cancer that has spread to his bones. Conspiracy theorists, naturally, interpreted this as additional fuel to ignite the flames. After all, how convenient that the “real” Biden gets replaced right before a major illness is revealed. Is the clone starting to malfunction? Are the updates not installing properly? Try disabling the firewall.
Deep State Drama and Clone Mania
If you think this is just a random post that Trump stumbled on and carelessly shared, think again. It fits neatly into a larger pattern of Trumpian Conspiracy Theater. Over the past few years, Trump’s social media accounts have become a dumping ground for deep state allegations, assassination plots, and clone fantasies.
According to a New York Times analysis, over a six-month period in 2024, Trump shared at least 330 posts that hinted at some kind of secret plot, usually targeting him or the American people. These included everything from claims that the FBI tried to assassinate him to theories that government insiders orchestrated the Capitol riot on January 6, 2025.
So, the Biden Clone Theory? It’s just the latest episode in a long-running series, like “Keeping Up with the Trumspiracies.”
Where Did This All Start?
Let’s be honest: the idea that powerful politicians use body doubles or clones is as old as the Great Roman Empire. Similar rumors have been attached to Hillary Clinton, Vladimir Putin, and even pop stars like Avril Lavigne. However, the Biden theory elevates the concept by fusing sci-fi robotics with political paranoia.
The claim gained additional attention following a series of public moments where President Biden appeared to forget names, mix up countries, or stumble while boarding Air Force One. Some social media users jokingly compared his behavior to that of a glitching animatronic character from Five Nights at Freddy’s, but not as bloodthirsty (not yet, at least).
And the White House says absolutely nothing. The Biden administration has (wisely) not acknowledged the clone chatter. After all, how do you officially respond to accusations of being a cyborg? “No comment” seems pretty safe when the alternative is, “Actually, our president isn’t built from spare Tesla parts in Elon Musk’s secret basement.”
And What Do People Believe?
Surprisingly, quite a few people are willing—or curious enough—to entertain the idea, no matter how far-fetched it may seem. Trump’s base has long shown interest in conspiracy theories, and in the post-QAnon era, there remains a receptive audience for narratives that portray Democrats as shadowy figures pulling the strings—sometimes with the help of imagined, high-tech stand-ins.
For some, it’s just a joke. For others—wishful thinking. And for a vocal group online, it’s deadly serious. Reddit threads, Telegram channels, and fringe blogs are brimming with “evidence” comparing Biden’s ears from old and new photos, pointing to inconsistencies in his gait, and even analyzing the way he blinks. Some people definitely need to touch the grass.
